Welcome New Member the Ching Tien Foundation for Women!
Join us in welcoming Ching Tien, President and President, The Ching Tien Foundation for Women to CanChamHK!
Led by Chinese-Canadian social entrepreneur and a globally recognized advocate for gender equality Ching Tien, the Ching Tien Foundation for Women develops the next generation of women leaders from Asia by providing global opportunities to pursue advanced academic studies and leadership training. Beyond encouraging academic achievement, the ambition of the Foundation is to enable women to develop the mindset, confidence and abilities to become changemakers for tomorrow.
The Ching Tien Foundation builds on the legacy of Education Girls of Rural China (EGRC), a Canadian charity founded by Ching Tien that empowered over 2000 rural Chinese girls to complete their high school and university education between 2005 and 2023. The Foundation for Women continues EGRC’s mission to empower women through education, now, with programs open to aspiring social impact leaders from across Asia.
As Ching Tien Foundation programs are designed develop leaders and changemakers, scholars receive mentorship and soft skills training, and are required to acquire hands-on experiences in the areas of leadership, volunteerism, and cross-cultural communications. All graduates undertake a capstone "Pay It Forward" project, marking their first step towards making an impact in the world.
